My travels through the world of work and leadership include roles in management and consulting. I've watched and participated in the stories I now tell. The stories reflect moments of joy, pain and truth. They offer insights into what works and doesn't work for leaders. Now, approaching my 40th year of practicing management, consulting and coaching, I have been struck by how unhealthy workplaces have become. My journey now focuses on helping these places to heal by helping heal the leaders who lead them

I have been a pastoral counselor and a marriage and family therapist for over 25 years. I have had the privilege of walking side by side with people through all of the transitions of their lives - from cradle to grave. I have learned from them in negotiating the stages and changes of my own life. I have served as EAP professional for the past 15 years and have had been able to be on the “inside” of many companies and organizations. I have learned much about what works and doesn’t work in organizations and I am glad to pass on that experience to others who aspire to be healthy and effective leaders.
More important than what I do know is what I have learned about what I don’t know. This means that though I have experience and expertise in some things, I recognize that the real experts are the people I am privileged to serve.
