What others are saying about working with us... After working as an architect in an industry that should be all about intuition and creative joy, but is not, I found myself burned-out and ready to move on to another career. One that would simply pay the bills (and I wasn’t being very successful at that either). Then I met Howard.
Howard taught me how to achieve bliss in my life. Now I don’t ‘work’, I wake up in the morning and live my mission. He helped me re-invent a business model in my profession that allowed me to embrace my mission as a designer and a human being. He showed me that people would demand my work – building spaces with a mission – if they knew it was available to them. He was right.
More importantly both Howard and Steve taught me what it means to be an authentic visionary and leader, how to continuously apply my intuition and creativity in harmony with my business model bringing a whole new level of service, value and meaning to my work. Paul Sorum, President, Sorum Design-Build
My relationship with Howard Hansen has not only advanced my career but has helped me balance my life in a successful way. Howard partners with you to help you ask yourselves the right questions, that propel you into new thinking and new ways of leading. The thought process is designed to develop you as a leader that can transform the world you live in. I plan on continuing this process for the rest of my life – it is a journey not a destination, and with Howard – the path is ever growing and ever learning. Apryl Hanson, Sage Software
Warning: talking to Steve can be hazardous to your old ways of thinking! Mary Mees. Seattle, WA
Howard has been my mentor, friend and hero for ten years.
On the professional level, Howard has taught me what it means to really be a consultant. “Ed, great consultants ask great questions, they do not provide great answers.” I am still trying to get my thoughts fully around this concept.
On a personal level, Howard has helped me heal from a divorce and business dissolution within six months of each other. He has been my personal Sherpa up the Mount Everest of my life.
Authors that he has introduced me to have changed my life – Peter Block, Peter Senge, Edwin Friedman, Herman Hess and Ayn Rand – to name a few. Often times, our dialogues about these works have been the high points of my month. Whenever, I am beginning to feel a little down, my wife suggests a call to Howard. “You are always happy for days after one of your talks with him,” she says.
In short, Howard has taught me through his thoughts, words and actions, how to be an authentic human being.

Steve Geske is a "people/process guru." He fills the role of Corporate Shaman admirably. Steve “connects” with people instantly, and he understands people and what motivates them. Best of all, Steve doesn’t answer questions; he addresses the problem that generated the question – often skipping through multiple layers of cause-and-effect. I recommend Steve to anyone looking for a sounding board that adds value to every piece it receives before reflecting it back. Arthur Held, CTO, APS Healthcare, Inc., Bethesda, MD
Howard Hansen has been a great friend and mentor for me over many years. I value his insight and respect his ability to encourage me to remain authentic in all areas of my life. I sincerely believe in living a life that incorporates my personal values and surrounding myself with others than share the mission of respect, kindness and support. Life has its ups and downs and I accept that fact but it is important to react in a truly authentic manner even if there is pressure to do otherwise. Howard has continually encouraged me to accept the challenges with grace, embrace my experiences wholeheartedly and move forward with optimism. Sharon Miller, Talent Specialist,NDSU Research & Technology Park, Fargo, ND
Steven sees what's right within what's wrong. He skillfully unveils the spirit of brilliance within each of us. Dr. Bruce Gleason, University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota
Howard has impacted my personal and professional life in a profound way – he focuses on foundational things, and compels me to focus on foundational things first.
Life creates confusion and distraction, and presents a multitude of details and emotions to us everyday. Each response that only creates action items and tactics for these challenges gets us further from our real purpose and real goals. Howard knows that trying to build any plan without a solid foundation is only a short-term solution and ultimately a futile effort. It is also an emotional and resource draining activity.
Tactical advice is as easy to get as the latest ‘how to’ book. “What do you want to do?” is not the same question as “What do you want to become?”. The answer to the first question tells you what to do next -- expect that answer to change constantly and eventually lead you further from the core. The answer to the second continually brings you back to the core.
Howard has taught me to work on foundational things, and to build there first. From a solid personal and professional foundation, anything is possible. Dave Knorr
Steve is a healer. I have often told him that I would always want him around as a consultant. I have appreciated his metaphors and trust them profoundly. He puts structure and depth onto my embryonic thoughts and feelings. Mary Ann Weigel, CPE Supervisor, Mayo Clinic - Rochester Methodist Hospital |
